Ok. So in January I forgot to tote my camera along with me to the dinner. Which was such a shame because our longtime member Alexis finally hosted her first ever dinner! And boy, did she hit it out of the park. The girl deserved to have her dinners photos displayed here on the blog. All I have are two bad iphone photos, but, they’ll just have to do. Alexis turned her living room into a sparkling, fabulous, herb filled dinner party central, complete with a gorgeous living herb floral display and homemade canned tarragon mustard favors for each of us. Plus, we got the entire old group together (such fun!). Not only that, but the food was amazing! So many reasons to have a camera on hand. Damn me!

Anyhow, here is what we noshed upon:

Cocktail : Annika : Lemon Thyme Drops

Appetizer : Ashley : Pear, Bacon & Basil Flatbreads with Chevre

First : Laurel : Blood Orange, Pomegranate Herb Salad with Herb & Butter Soaked Crispy, Chewy Bread Sticks

Second : Mallory : Sage & Italian Parsley Gelee w/ Roasted Beet Ribbons, Herbed Creme Fraiche & Homemade Croutons 

Entree : Alexis : Ina Garten’s Chicken Pot Pie (modified) - extra creamy, with Seitan instead of chicken - plenty of herbs, and a crispy pie crust.

Dessert : Rachelle : Ricotta Orange Herb Cheese Tart with Candied Orange Slices
